Olives

  • Grown in a Mediterranean climate
  • Always picked green, but never eaten fresh due to its bitterness
  • By ripening: less bitter + colour darkens from dark green to black
  • Maturing by keeping in salt water bath for several months
  •  Industrial ripening process is accelerated
  • Pickled or sold as oil

A CB olive line is used in the production of pickled olives.

Olive Line

In a number of stages, a CB olive line prepares ripened olives for packaging:

  • Reception ripened olives from Mediterranean regions (stored in saltwater solution)
  • Tipping bulk packaging
  • Rinsing
  • Desalting
  • Washing and re-rinsing
  • Dewatering
  • Feeding to the mixer
  • Possibility of adding additives (e.g. feta and garlic)

After this process, the olives are ready for the packaging line.

Several machine lanes are provided in the process line to handle different varieties.
