This reception and cleaning line has been designed and built to receive, clean and optically sort various types of pre-washed and/or cut produce (such as carrots, peas, pulses, etc.) via a hydrotransfer network from another area of the factory.
Pebbles are removed from the product flow in a double destoning flume. Thanks to the double construction, there is no production interruption during the system’s cleaning cycle. Following this, the product is dewatered on a dewatering shaker, where a lifting system facilitates the cleaning of the screens.
After this initial cleaning process, the product is stored in an integrated silo and discharged onto a weighing conveyor. From the weighing conveyor, it is fed evenly via a redler conveyor and a feeding shaker to the vertical air cleaner, which removes light impurities.
From the vertical air cleaner, the product is fed evenly towards an integrated optical sorter. A mobile conveyor belt then transfers the product from the optical sorter to a second redler, which conveys the high-quality product to the next zone in the processing line.
In addition to the installation described above, an additional setup has been provided which makes it possible to buffer product stored in crates and subsequently feed it to the cleaning installation via a hydrotransfer.
