A snipper / trimming drum is deployed in a cascade together with a decluster drum and possibly also a UBR (unsnipped bean remover). Distribution shakers feed the beans evenly to the different drum cascades. Uniform feeding matched to the maximum capacity per cascade ensures optimum bean trimming.

The price of a snipping drum depends on the choices made regarding segment type, inspection doors, sprockets, drive chain and cleaning systems. The complete declustering and snipping setup of which the machine is a part also plays an important role.
