Lye peeler
A stainless steel lye peeler is a robust solution to chemically peel carrots, by passing them through a lye bath, in an industrial process line.
- Construction made of sandblasted stainless steel 304.
- Drum divided into sections to transport product through bath.
- Cleats made of curved perfonet.
- Inspection doors for ease of cleaning.
- Heat exchanger circuit to heat lye.
- Pumps to circulate lye, iron valves.
- Mobile scraper.
- Motor-reductor SEW with frequency drive
- The scraper removes the product from the sections.
- A rinsing tank or water chute should be provided at the outfeed.
